Research Computing Consultant Program

You will learn about research computing resources, the grant funding process, data management, and facilitation skills to help faculty researchers in their research endeavours.

In this four-part series program participants will gain knowledge and skills needed to assist faculty researchers in utilizing and maximizing research computing resources. 

Session 1: Research Consultant Program Overview
Participants will have an overview of the Research Computing Consultant Program, learn more about HiPerGator and ResVault, and explore the essence of relationship buildings.

Session 2: Research Computing Resources
We will dive deeper into the Research Computing (RC) resources, learn how to use HiPerGator, access available trainings, and get to know RC staff members.

Session 3: The World of Faculty Researchers
We will immerse into the life of faculty researchers, learn the nuts and bolts of grant funding cycles and data flow mapping, and become familiar with data management plans. 

Session 4: Facilitation and Graduation
We will wrap up with exercises in relationship building, active listening and asking the right questions. You will create a basic data management plan to help faculty researchers in the research endeavours.
