ResVault Training

ResVault (now HiPerGator-RV) is a secure computing environment where scientists and collaborators can conduct research on restricted and confidential data. To establish a ResVault (HiPerGator-RV) account, new users will need to complete a two-step onboarding training.

Step 1

Introduction to ResVault (HiPerGator-RV)

This introduction is a required step in the user onboarding process. Learners will review ResVault (HiPerGator-RV) environment security specification, eligibility and activation requirements, support resources, and end-user roles and responsibilities.  This session is online and self-paced.

Step 2

ResVault (HiPerGator-RV) User Training

At this instructor-led session, you and your team will practice moving data and file sharing as well as creating drives and virtual machines within the ResVault (HiPerGator-RV) environment. The Trainer will coach teams on workflows and best practices that improve collaboration and efficiency.

After attending this training, your account will be activated and ready for use.

This training also prepares new teams and groups for optional follow-up consultations with the Research Computing liaisons. In follow-up appointments, teams will discuss required apps and any necessary customization to the ResVault Virtual Machines.
