Designing an Inclusive Course

In this course, participants will explore methods for designing inclusive courses that recognizes the diversity of UF students and empowers all students equally. 

Goals: 

  • Recognize the diversity of UF students and how that connects to their student experience
  • Identify and apply strategies for making a course more inclusive
  • Develop confidence to take ownership of inclusivity and accessibility without discouraging student agency

During the course, participants will develop and revise one aspect of their own course content, and will be provided guidance and direction on how to make their other course materials, organization, or assessments more inclusive. This course can be completed as part of the 3-part, Teaching for Inclusivity and Accessibility Certificate of Completion.

Time Commitment

6-9 Hours - mainly self-paced with instructor guidance and feedback throughout
