In this session, learn Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data. Participants will look at both reference-based mapping of reads (using Bowtie and Bowtie2) and de novo assembly of reads (using Velvet)and highlight some of the other mapping and assembly applications available at Research Computing. Both the command line and Galaxy will be demonstrated. Bring your own laptop and follow along with some of the analyses!
